DS1140 support in Aarhus

In development areas such as Aarhus Ø and Nye, several contractors often work side by side on the same project. Each party needs to be able to show which structures and checks its documentation covers.

We help divide the material by work package, structural section and phase. That makes it clear what you hand over yourselves and what has to come from other parties before everything is combined for handover.

Building applications in Aarhus are handled by Aarhus Kommune, and the completion notice is submitted digitally through Byg og Miljø, as everywhere else in Denmark. The control and documentation requirements are the same across the country: BR18 and DS1140 apply equally, whichever municipality the project is in.

In structural classes 2 to 4, the certified structural engineer’s final declaration must be in place when the completion notice is submitted. It pays to have the control plan and records ready in good time, so the documentation does not become the bottleneck at the end.

On tight city sites with demanding schedules, reinforcement, connections and cast-in items are quickly covered up. Checks on them must be planned before the work is carried out and recorded with photos and measurements while there is still access.
